A door operating apparatus (10) for a hinged door, the apparatus comprising a motor (12) which engages with an elongate opening member (16). The motor (12) is mountable on a door and one end of the elongate opening member (16) is pivotally connectable to a door frame or door surround. The apparatus (10) is arranged such that operation of the motor (12) in one direction causes closing of the door, and operation in an opposite direction causes opening of the door. |
