SUBSTANCE: gate valve has body, cover rigid wedge and self-setting seats which have cylindrical form. Seats are provided with tenons and are mounted in bore of body at clearances for free setting of seats. Seats are sealed relative to body by means of ring made from plastic material, such as graphlex due to compression of wedge. EFFECT: enhanced tightness of gate valve at high pressures of working medium; increased service life; reduced labor consumption for manufacture of gate valve. 2 dwg
