PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of finishing the surface of tungsten carbide which is made into contact with a polishing member, and a product having thus finished surface. SOLUTION: This finishing method comprises steps of rotating a cylinder, making the surface of tungsten carbide into contact with a first polishing member 26, making the first polishing member into contact with a support which is vibrated (36) along the surface so as to create a pattern on the surface at a first angle to the rotational axis, and making a second polishing member into contact with the support which is vibrated (36) along the surface so as to create a pattern at a second angle to the rotational axis. Thus, the surface of tungsten carbide can be finished so that the first angle and the second angle are different from each other by at least about 15 deg., and one of the first angle and the second angle falls in a range from about 60 to 90 deg. while the other one of them falls in a range from about 15 to 15 deg.
