<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance acceleration performance of engine by detecting the load condition of an engine under acceleration and varying the battery charge control state depending on the load condition of the engine thereby eliminating a charging load. SOLUTION: A battery voltage detecting circuit detects the voltage of a battery 2 only when a generator 1 is producing an output. A reference level varying circuit varies the battery voltage detection level of the battery voltage detecting circuit based on an external signal. When a throttle sensor is moved in order to accelerate an engine, a signal is inputted to an external detection terminal T and the charging state of battery can be stopped and the charging voltage can be varied for a specified time even if the battery 2 is not fully charged. Consequently, acceleration performance of engine can be enhanced by reducing the generator load under accelerating state of engine and then returning back gradually to original state.</p> |
