PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device to return a gap regulating device to an initial state during exchange of a brake pad with which the caliper brake of a vehicle is equipped. SOLUTION: A vehicle 100 is provided on the axle 130 of a truck 110 with wheels W and a rotor R, the wheel W is equipped with a caliper brake 140 for a wheels and the rotor R is equipped with a caliper brake 160 for the rotor. The caliper brake 160 for the rotor is equipped in a posture that caliper bodies 166 on the cylinder side are positioned opposite to each other. A maintenance device 200 is provided with an air chamber 210 and a pair of press members 230 and 240 energized by an air chamber. The cock 222 of an air hose 220 is opened and air is supplied to the air chamber 210. A caliper body 166 on the cylinder side is pressed against the rotor R and a gap regulating device is returned to an initial state.
