PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is superior in optical fatigue characteristics. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing an electronic charge transferring material having either or moreπelectrons having no aromaticity and a fluorescence yeildΦof 1>Φ>0.13 in a dilute THF solution, or an electric charge transferring material having twelve or moreπelectrons having no aromaticity and a fluorescence yieldΦof 1>Φ>0.09 in a dilute THF solution.
