摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive surface mounting LD which can be made compact and thin, and which can be produced in mass with a simplified manufacturing process, and a method for manufacturing this device. SOLUTION: A metal substrate 11 made of metal such as iron, aluminum system, or copper system on which an anode electrode 11a and a cathode electrode 11b of an LD element 12, are formed, and a polyimide system spacer 14 except for the inside, are thermally press fit with an adhesive sheet or the like, so that the mounting of the LD element 12 on the metal substrate 11 can be prevented from being interrupted. Then, the LD element 12 is mounted on the metal substrate 11, and a metallic sheet 16 made of metal such as iron, aluminum system, or copper system is thermally press fit on the spacer 14 with an adhesive sheet or the like. Thus, it is not necessary to use special devices for the mounting of the LD element, and it is possible to execute a working process with a polymer for dividing this into individual parts with improved productivity, and cost is reduced. Moreover, high mounting accuracy can be ensured on the premise of image recognition, and each part can be easily treated by a robot, and the convenient range of each part can be enlarged. Also, this device can be made compact, thin and inexpensive.
