PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose an excellent wide-angle image by generating a position information signal which indicates the positional relation between a camera and a photographed area on an object, generating screen addresses which specify positions of pixels of an image signal and converting the screen addresses into the addresses of the composite wide-angle image according to the position information signal. SOLUTION: Screen addresses (x, y) in image pickup element devices of respective image pickup devices 1a to 1c from an address generating circuit 6 are inputted to an arithmetic circuit. Information regarding the focal lengths of lenses of the image pickup devices 1a to 1c and the sizes of the image pickup element device are set in the arithmetic circuit. Signals representing the position information of respective image pickup devices 1a to 1c are inputted from a camera position information generation circuit 5. The arithmetic circuit calculates addresses (x, y) of dots on a photographed area on the object which correspond to image addresses (x, y) on the image pickup element devices of respective image pickup devices 1a to 1c according to the mentioned information and a camera selection signal (f) and outputs a writing address of an image signal to a RAM 9. |
