PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an economical fishing tackle part made of zirconia ceramics excellent in adhesion of a coating, abrasion resistance and strength and resistant to shock and a method for producing the part. SOLUTION: This fishing tackle part made of zirconia ceramics comprises a sintered compact obtained from a raw material of 0.1-6 wt.% of Y2O3, 0.01-20 wt.% of Al2O3, 97.99-74 wt.% of ZrO2 and the balance and having 0.1-0.3 μm grain diameter and <=1% volume ratio of pores. The method for producing the fishing tackle part comprises granulating the raw material, then pressure forming the resultant granulated raw material and subsequently baking the formed compact at 1,350-1,450 deg.C. Furthermore, the sintered compact can be treated by a hot isostatic pressing(HIP) treatment. The resultant fishing tackle part made of the zirconia ceramics can be subjected to barrel polishing. The surface of the sintered compact has a first coating layer comprising at least one kind of a noble metal, a group 4a element of the periodic table of elements and a group 5 element of the periodic table of elements and further a second coating layer comprising a compound composed of at least one kind selected from a carbide, a nitride and a carbonitride of the group 4a element of the periodic table of elements and a compound composed of at least one kind selected from at least one kind of a carbide, a nitride and a carbonitride composed of at least one kind of the group 5 element of the periodic table of elements. |
