PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tuning fork type vibration gyro having satisfactory sensitivity. SOLUTION: A vibrating gyro 10 includes a turning fork type vibrator 12, in which one edge sides of two arms 14 and 16 are connected through a connecting part 18 with each other. Notches 20 shorter than the arm length are formed in the arms 14 and 16, so that shafts 22 and 24 for detection in a cantilever structure can be formed. Piezoelectric elements 26 and 28 are formed on the outer side faces of the arms 14 and 16, and the outer electrodes are divided into four parts 34a-34d and (40a-40d). The electrodes 34a, 34b,(40a, and 40b)of the piezoelectric elements 26 and 38 formed at the shaft 22 and 24 parts for detection are used as detecting pieces, and the electrodes 34c, 34d, (40c, and 40d) at the both sides are used as driving pieces. |
