PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve capable of reliably blocking a flow of fluid in a reverse direction while allowing in some direction. SOLUTION: This check valve 12 comprises a liquid flow passage 13; a valve ball 18; a pin 19 having one end abuttable on the valve ball 18; a liquid chamber 20; and a plunger 20 abuttable on the other end of the pin 19. The pin 19 is provided with a spindle-form part 19a having an outside diameter narrowed toward the liquid chamber 20 side. A liquid flow passage 13 is provided with first and second slopes 14 and 15 with an inside diameter decreased toward the liquid chamber 20 side. The liquid flow passage 13 is cut off depending upon whether the valve ball 18 is abutted with the first slope 14 or the spindle- form 19a is abutted with the second slope 15. With the valve ball 18 abutted with the first slope 14, the other end 19a of the pin 19 is protruded in the liquid chamber 20 and brought into a state of the other end 19a abuttable on a plunger 21.
