PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an accurate meter value by detecting a character recognition error. SOLUTION: A meter reading device 2a reads an integrated quantity meter 1 everyday and estimates certainty by collating it with the previous meter value recorded in a recording part 20. When the read meter value is judged certain by the said collation, the meter value in the recording part 20 is updated. Besides, the meter value in the recording part 20 is outputted to a host machine 45 on the meter-reading day once a month, for example. Thus, the meter reading device 2a can output the certain meter value to the host machine 45 on the meter-reading day. |
