PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of making knitwear by means of a flat knitting machine that does not need loop transfer and can control the sleeve-attaching angle through a relatively simple manner. SOLUTION: This knitting process comprises the following steps: (A) After one sleeve 10 is knitted, the following body 5 is knitted from the part of a hem to an underarm. Simultaneously, course knitting is carried out all over the knitting width of the body part 5 and the previously knitted sleeve 10 is jointed to the body part 5. When the body part 5 is knitted from shoulder to scruff, wales near the underarm following sleeve wales are increased and the front body and the back body are divided into two parts at the scruff to form a scruff opening. (B) When the body part is knitted from the scruff to the other shoulder, the wales for the underarm are reduced to the following sleeve to be knitted, then the body part is knitted from the hem to the underarm for preventing fray. Finally, needles are released and the remaining sleeve is knitted.
