PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the performance of a device from being degraded after retrial by grouping fault factors and performing absolute minimum hardware initialization in initialization of hardware in the case that a fault capable of retrial is generated. SOLUTION: In initialization of the hardware in the case that the fault capable of the retrial is generated, the fault factors are grouped and the absolute minimum hardware initialization is performed. A fault detection circuit 101 prepares fault information 102 for indicating the contents of the generated fault and outputs it to a diagnostic device and a comparator circuit 301. In a fault information table 200, information for judging which fault group the detected fault belongs to is housed. The fault information table 200 outputs one of fault group information areas 201-204 to the comparator circuit 301 corresponding to a fault information table pointer 205 for specifying the fault group information area outputted from a counter 501. The comparator circuit 301 performs comparison for judging which fault information area and the fault information 102 match.
