摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display device with high resolution with suppressed flickers of the screen by constituting subframes for red, green and blue images and turning on a red, green or blue back light corresponding to the display of a red image, green image or blue image. SOLUTION: In the period TsfR of a subframe R, period TsfG of a subframe G and period TsfB of a subframe B, LED back lights of R, G and B are successively turned on, respectively. In the period TsfR of the subframe R, video signals (R1) corresponding to red are supplied to the liquid crystal panel to write one frame of the red image. In the period TsfG of the subframe G, video signals (G1) corresponding to green are supplied to the liquid crystal panel to write one frame of the green image. In the period TsfB of the subframe B, video signals (B1) corresponding to blue are supplied to the liquid crystal panel to write one frame of the blue image.
