PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce acidic electrolytic water efficiently and safely by using an aqueous in which sodium chloride and sodium hydrogen sulfate are dissolved as an aqueous solution for producing the acidic electrolytic water. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for producing acidic electrolytic water, an electrolytic cell has a casing, and a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode are arranged oppositely in the cell. The electrolytic cell has an inflow part and a outflow part, an auxiliary electrolyte is introduced into the cell by a pump, the auxiliary electrolyte is electrolyzed in the cell, and acidic electrolytic water is produced. As the auxiliary electrolyte, the high concentration aqueous solution of sodium chloride or sodium hydrogen sulfate is used, the acidic electrolytic water and city water are sent to a mixer to be mixed, and the acidic electrolytic water of a prescribed concentration is produced efficiently. Moreover, sodium chloride and sodium hydrogen sulfate are used for the aqueous solution, which can be handled safely since there is no need to use hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
