PURPOSE: A method for measuring a height of a molten ingot steel in a blast furnace is provided to measure the height by using a temperature of a molten ingot steel and a signal of a probe for measuring dissolved oxygen without taking any further time. CONSTITUTION: In a method for measuring a height of a molten ingot steel in a blast furnace, a signal of a probe is processed for measuring dissolved oxygen in the molten ingot steel at a final section of a steel-making procedure, and a surface of the molten ingot steel is measured by recognizing a change ratio of current values by a formula(1): the change ratio=(current value(2)-current value(1))/(time point(2)-time point(2)), computing a time point when the probe passes through a surface of a slag and the molten ingot steel by formula(2): the passing through time point=t(1)-(t(2)-t(1)), and computing a surface value of the molten ingot steel from a difference of an electromagnetic force of the probe due to a difference of properties of the slag and the molten ingot steel by formula(3): a height of the molten ingot steel=a height of a sublance+speed of the sublance(m/minute)*(surface passing time point-initial rising time point of sublance).
