PURPOSE: A refrigerator having an air cleaner is provided to absorb the dust distributed in a machine room by getting defrosted water falling down a filter and simultaneously cleaning the dust with the defrosted water, and to compulsorily evaporate the defrosted water by a ventilation of a cooling fan when the defrosted water falling down the filter. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator having an air cleaner includes a square case(35) having a cooling fan(36) fixed in the bottom of an evaporating tray(38) for getting defrosted water installed in the bottom of a machine room with adjacent to one end of the evaporating tray(38), a filter(50) installed between one end of the evaporating tray(38) and the case(35) with adjacent to the cooling fan(36), of which the lower end to be immersed in the defrosted water of the evaporating tray(38) and of which the upper end folded toward the cooling fan(36) for having a folded surface(52), and an end of a water hose(40) located in the folded surface(52).
