PURPOSE: A charge coupled device is to eliminate the difference in the sensitivity between pixels and elevate the sensitivity in low luminance, thereby enhancing the whole resolution. CONSTITUTION: A charge coupled device comprises: a photodiode region formed on a semiconductor substrate(6) and arranged in matrix, for converting a signal in relation to light into an electrical signal; a microlens(45) corresponding to regions on the photodiodes and for focusing the light which is incident through a diaphragm(47) and a lens(46); and a planarized layer(42,44) formed at entire light receiving region including the photodiode region, the planarized layer including a first planarized layer and a second planarized layer having different deflection index from the first planarized layer.
