PURPOSE: A brake system of automobile is provided to allow drivers to have a pleasant and convenient travel while supplying a continued braking force from a brake pedal once pressed. CONSTITUTION: A brake system comprises a brake force generating unit for generating a brake force to each wheel upon braking, a brake force maintaining/releasing unit for maintaining the brake force generated by the brake force generating unit or releasing the brake force generated at each wheel to allow the automobile to restart, and a control unit for outputting a brake release command to the brake force maintaining/releasing unit to allow the automobile to continue traveling.
