SYNTHETIC RESIN THROTTLE BODY FOR USE OF ENGINE

PURPOSE: A throttle body for use of engine is provided to achieve a stable operation of a throttle valve and a correct control of the volume of the intake air while arranging a metal reinforcement member integrally with the throttle body so as to prevent a deformation of an air inlet bore. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin throttle body for use of engine comprises a metal tubular liner(10) formed integrally with a throttle valve(11) by being fixed to a position where a bore is to be formed upon molding of the synthetic resin throttle body, the liner(10) having at outer side surfaces thereof bosses(14) arranged oppositely with each other for accommodating a shaft(16) of the throttle valve(11), the bosses(14) having ring-shaped shaft receiving portions(15) for rotatably supporting the shaft(16), the liner(10) having at an outer surface thereof a plurality of grooves to be filled with the synthetic resin upon molding of the throttle body so as to function as a protuberance for holding the liner(10) when the synthetic resin throttle body is heated or contracted.
