PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a steel wire for bead wires is provided to omit such processes as patenting, acid rinsing and lubricant coating by manufacturing a wire rod with excellent wire drawing capability through the Ferrite control to be not more than 10%. CONSTITUTION: A steel ingot consists of, by weight %: 0.4-0.65% of C, 0.1-1.0% of Mn, 0.1-1.0% of Si, not more than 0.3% of Cr, not more than 100ppm of B, not more than 0.02% of Ti, not more than 0.02% of Nb, not more than 0.02% of V, Fe and incidental impurities. The steel ingot is hot-rolled and continuously cooled at a speed of 10-30°C/sec to obtain a wire rod having not more than 10% of ferrite dispersion and 6-10% of cementite dispersion. After that, the wire rod is blued at a temperature of 450-550°C to manufacture a steel wire for bead wires.
