PURPOSE: A TV mailing system is provided to save expenses for installing an internet hook-up environment by receiving a mail through a TV email receiver and displaying the email on the TV. CONSTITUTION: A VBI line extractor(304) inputs a digital signal of an analog/digital converter(302), separates and interprets only particular lines from plural horizontal scan signals in the VBI interval. A program ROM(306) has a program therein. A CPU(303) is in charge of a program execution. A main memory(307) is used when the program built in the program ROM(306) is actually executed. A flash memory(307) stores telephone numbers and received mails, and downloads a new program of a TV email receiver(300). A font ROM(312) contains bitmap data with respect to fonts.
