PURPOSE: An apparatus for protecting children of a vehicle is provided to automatically open the window of a vehicle by sensing that a child gets on a vehicle by carelessness of parents. CONSTITUTION: A timer(104) senses the passage of time every second and each pressure sensor(106) detects pressure value to sense the riding of a person or an object on a seat. A control unit(116) sets a child protecting mode with a signal from a key input unit(102) and stores each pressure value of the sensors in a storage unit(108). That is, the control unit receives each pressure value from the sensors and compares the current sensed value with the stored one. The control unit repeats the action if the current value is not larger than the stored one. Otherwise, the control unit drives each driving unit(110,112,114) of alarm sounds, windows and doors.
