A glazing assembly for supporting the edges of glazing panel is used in a structure like a solarium. The assembly uses thermally insulating connectors for connecting exterior bar caps to the metal frame of the structure. The bar caps hold the glazing in place. The system also includes a two-part PVC base track that is resistant to warping and twisting due to solar radiation, and a PVC top track that seals the glazing on the outside and minimises condensation. The system is designed to accommodate double glazing. At gable ends, the inner pane is mounted using a PVC channel that eliminates a reverse bent inner rafter, and maintains the thermal break at the gable end.
