DEVICE FOR HEAT SEALING ELECTRIC FURNACE USING WASTE HEAT OF STEEL LADLE

PURPOSE: A device is provided to accumulate heat the heatproof material of an electric furnace using waste heat of a steel ladle in order to increase energy efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A device lifts a steel ladle(12) near to an electric furnace entrance(2) by a lifting cylinder(40c) and opens a valve(54) of a gas line(51) to supply gas to the bottom of the steel ladle. Then the steel ladle is heated and the electric furnace is heated. The device opens a valve(50) and supplies cooling water to a cooling pipe(52) for preventing heat from being fed to the gas line. A heatproof material in the furnace thermometer measures the temperature of the heatproof material and feeds the temperature value to a controller so that the controller automatically stops supplying gas when the heatproof material is heated at a regular temperature. Then, the steel ladle falls down, the furnace is vertically rotated and a steel trolley(14) is moved to a waiting position.
