METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING STATUS OF SPINDLE IN COOL ROLLING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A diagnosing method of the status of a spindle in a cool rolling machine is provided to prevent an accident in a large rolling facility and loss of workers due to a spindle. CONSTITUTION: By using an acceleration sensor(13), vibration data of a work roll chock(5) part is collected in an analysis system(18) via an amplifier(17) in real time. By performing an envelope spectrum analysis which is a sort of frequency analysis methods, the generation of roll rotational frequency and mis-rotation of a spindle are diagnosed. The vibration signals from the roll chock are received from the acceleration sensor to test a crest factor. If the crest factor exceeds 1, the rotation of the spindle is normal. Thereby, the envelope spectrum analysis is performed.
