PURPOSE: A method for printing and fixing patterns on both sides of a foamed sheet made of synthetic resin is provided which has good productivity and can be applied variously as needed, and additionally has an advantage that a printed matter prepared by the method is hardly peeled off. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the following steps: a step of printing patterns on one side of a foamed sheet (1) made of synthetic resin such as polystyrene resin and polyethylene resin, by passing the sheet through a printing part equipped with a printing roller (5), a bowl for printing ink (2), printing ink (3), a roller for supply of printing ink (4) and a supporting roller (7); a step of drying the patterned sheet, by passing the sheet through a drying part equipped with blowers (8) and (8a); a step of coating the dried sheet and fixing the patterns printed on the sheet, by passing the sheet through a coating part consisting of dropping a clear synthetic resin solution (9) on the sheet and compressing the synthetic resin-coated sheet with a cooling roller (c); a step of converting the sheet, by passing the sheet through a converting part; and a step of printing patterns on the other side of the sheet using the same method as the above and drying, coating and fixing the patterned sheet using the same method as the above, wherein the sheet is transported by means of several guide rollers through the whole processes.
