PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable plural users to use the same bynames in different environments and also to facilitate the transmission of electronic mails. SOLUTION: This method includes at least a step S1 where an electronic mail consisting of a temporary destination is produced, a step S2 where the transmission of the electronic mail is started, a step S3 where a destination byname definition file including a byname stored in a previously designated URL and a destination corresponding to the byname is obtained, a step S5 where the temporary destination is compared with the byname stored in the destination byname definition file and a step S8 where the temporary destination is converted into the destination corresponding to the byname when the coincidence is confirmed between the byname and the temporary destination to transmit the electronic mail to the converted destination or the electronic mail is transmitted to the temporary destination when no coincidence is confirmed between the byname and the temporary destination.
