PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket capable of maintaining good fit performance of the lamp socket at all times if a discharge phenomenon is produced between a center terminal and a circumferential terminal by an accidentally placed high voltage. SOLUTION: A center terminal 10 has a contact piece and non-contact parts 15a, 15b having end faces 17a, 17b, contact parts 13a, 13b are disposed so that their outside end faces A are positioned at a fixed distance 1 from the center C while each of the plurality of non-contact parts 15a, 15b at a distance L therefrom, a circumferential terminal 19 is equipped with contact parts 22a, 22b as many as the non-contact parts 15a, 15b, the contact parts 22a, 22b are disposed at circumferential positions in a one-to-one correspondence with the non-contact parts 15a, 15b of the center terminal 10, and only space exists in areas where the shortest straight-line distance is R between the end face 17a or 17b and a surface 23a or 23b of the contact part 22a or 22b of the circumferential terminal 19.
