PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-loading device which prevents the occurrence of a contact defect by making uniform the close contactness between two sheets, which are vacuum chucked to a vacuum chucking drum one over the other. SOLUTION: In a sheet-loading device 50, where a small-sized sheet 12 and a large-sizes sheet 14 carried from a sheet-carrying mechanism 24 are chucked to and held on the outer periphery of a vacuum chucking drum 20, the sheet- carrying mechanism 24 is provided with embossing working means 56 and 58, which emboss an outer surface 12a of the carried small-sized sheet 12 and/or an inner surface 14a of the large-sized sheet 14.
