PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety valve device which has a small size and a thin thickness and can only discharge a gas from a capacitor filled up with an electrolytic solution. SOLUTION: A safety valve device 18 is attached to the sealant attaching hole of a capacitor which is formed by housing a capacitor element impregnated with an electrolytic solution in a container and blocking the opening of the container with a sealant. The device 18 is provided with a valve main body 20 which is attached to the sealant attaching hole and through which a valve fitting recessing section 21 and a valve mouth 22 are bored, a valve disc 24 having an integrally formed press-contacting projecting section 28 which is put in the recessed section 21 and opens/closes the end section of the mouth 22 on the recessed section 21 side and through which a vent hole 29 is bored, a pressing spring 26 which urges the projecting section 28 of the valve disc 24 to the mouth 22 side, and a filter 30 which is provided on the internal end face side of the mouth 22 and passes a gas. The outer periphery of the projecting section 28 is constituted so that it may come into contact with the mouth 22 in its tapered section.
