PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an adaptor to be easily connected to diversified relating devices for remote control of an electronic camera and to surely control the electronic camera. SOLUTION: A remote supervisory unit 10 receiving remote control via a radio telephone channel is provided with an electronic camera 1, a digital portable telephone set 4, and an adaptor 2 that connects the digital portable telephone set 4 and the electronic camera 1, and a plurality of external devices such as a temperature measurement device are connected in chain to the adaptor 2. In the case of remote control, a 1st serial connector 52 of the adaptor 2 transmits a control signal relating to the electronic camera 1 to the electronic camera 1 and a 2nd serial connector 61 of the adaptor 2 transmits a control signal relating to the external devices and each external device receives the control signal relating only to itself.
