<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission/reception system which has small storage capacity of image data for an image transmission equipment and has less transfer data volume for preview and print and can refer to contents of a document image also at previewing. SOLUTION: An image generation part 24 separates beforehand the document image into at least an outline image, including shape information such as characters and patterns and the other non-outline image to store them in an image storage part 22. At previewing, an image transmission equipment 2 transmits the outline image to an image reception equipment 1, in response to an outline picture reception request from the image reception equipment 1. This is received by the image reception equipment 1 and is displayed on a display part 16. At printing of the previewed document image, the image transmission equipment 2 transmits the non-outline image to the image reception equipment 1, in response to a non-outline image reception request from the image reception equipment 1. The image reception equipment 1 composites the received non-outline image and the outline image for preview by a image compositing part 15 to print out the result from a print part 17.</p> |
