PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the flow of wasteful current and to suppress electric power consumption to a lower level by making it possible to continue matrix display even if organic EL elements constituted as a matrix go out of order. SOLUTION: Constant current circuits Is1 to Is3 are connected by each line to an anode side power source 1 of the organic EL elements EL1 to EL33 constituted as the matrix to suppress the current at the time of shorting of the organic EL elements. A cathode side power source 2 for preventing the occurrence of an error by leak current is disposed. The constant current circuits Is1 to Is3 are also connected to the cathode side power source 2 as well to likewise suppress the current flowing at the time of element shorting.
