TEST TABLE FOR NUCLEAR FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erect a nuclear fuel assembly vertically and stably by locating a reference seating face in a lower tie plate of the nuclear fuel assembly and placing a face receiving the reference seating face in a test table for a nuclear fuel. SOLUTION: A lower tie plate 5 consists of a tie plate part 7 for bundling many fuel rods 2 and a conical sheet part 6. A lower face 8 is formed in a lower face of the tie plate part 7 so as to surround the upper end of the sheet part 6. The lower face 8 is made so as to form a right angle to the longitudinal direction of a nuclear fuel assembly 1 and also functions as a reference seating face when the nuclear fuel assembly 1 is put on a test table 10. The test table 10 is mounted on a wall 11 by a simply supported beam 12 through a slewing gear 13. A bole part 14 that can accept the tie plate 5 is formed inside the test table 10. A face 15 receiving the lower face 8 of the tie plate 5 is made at the upper end face of the test table 10 when the tie plate 5 is seated. The receiving face 15 is adjusted so as to be in an exactly horizontal position in the installation of the test table 10.
