PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery compartment capable of storing plural slender and cylindrical batteries each of which has a first electrode on one longitudinal end surface and a second electrode on its peripheral surface, and capable of deriving electricity with a simple structure from the plural batteries. SOLUTION: Two batteries 12 are disposed longitudinally and adjacently each other so as to bring other end surfaces 13 into contact with each other in a battery compartment 10. In the battery compartment, two first terminals 14a, 14b brought into contact with and electrically connected to the first electrodes and electrically connected each other are disposed at two positions corresponding to the first electrodes 12a on each one end surface of the two batteries, and in the battery compartment, two second terminals 16a, 16b brought into contact with and electrically connected each other to the second electrodes at two positions corresponding to the second electrodes 12b on the each peripheral surface of the two batteries.
