PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reflective, low voltage driving, low power consumption and high performance reflective liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: A light reflection medium includes a first layer containing a cholesteric liquid crystal material and a polymer material or a hologram polymer dispersed liquid crystal material 66 and a second layer, containing a cholesteric liquid crystal material, separated from the first layer. Thereby a high performance reflective liquid crystal display becomes affordable which reflects light with >=2 intrinsic peak wavelengths and which has a memory effect and high reflectance. |
