PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suppressing degradation and unevenness of brightness by stabilizing electron emitting quantity from an electron emitting element and suppressing degradation of element characteristics. SOLUTION: This image forming device includes an envelop 5 formed by oppositely arranging an electron source substrate 1 provided with a matrix-wired plurality of electron emitting elements and a face plate 4 having a fluorescent film 7. Wiring of the electron source substrate 1 is formed by non-evaporation type getter material. Therefore, the getter material is arranged in a large area and in a periphery of a part emitting gas most without special processes for getter formation.
