PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce the thickness of a braille book and to provide the bendable braille book by making it possible to form braille directly on generally spread recording sheets like various kinds of fixed forms in place of cardboard. SOLUTION: The braille recorder 1 includes laser photoirradiation sections 7 and 8 which make a transfer sheet body freely exchangeable in a wound state, hold the transfer sheet body in a static state to bring the transfer layer into tight contact with the recording surface of the recording sheet and subject the transfer sheet body to photoirradiation with laser beams from a base film side in order to simultaneously and selectively record the braille and visible images by executing the photoirradiation with the laser beams, recording sheet transporting sections 10, 18 and 19 which execute the transportation of the recording sheet S so as to put the sheet into a static state that the next line faces the laser photoirradiation sections by executing line feed, and transfer sheet transporting sections 20, 21 and 26 which peel and take up the transfer sheet T at an angle approximate to a right angle in the angle formed with the recording surface.
