PORTABLE COMPUTER AND WIRELESS DOCKING STATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a wireless docking station with superior operability at a low price by providing ports for connections with various peripheral equip ment, an optical transceiver for communicating with a portable computer. SOLUTION: The wireless docking station 6 has in its front the optical transceiver for optically communicating with a portable computer 1 and the ports for connections with various peripheral equipment. A USB or/and IEEE1394 are provided as the ports for connections with various peripheral equipment. Then the wireless docking station having the ports of USB and IEEE1394 standards and a portable computer 1 are connected together by optical communication. Consequently, the wireless docking station 6 which is easy to use is actualized with simple circuit constitution at a low price.
