PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programming device capable of easily executing program transfer, data monitoring or data setting, etc., to an external device without necessitating an operator having ample knowledge of commands specific to the external device. SOLUTION: In this programming device which is provided with a central processing part 1 controlling the whole system, a nonvolatile memory 2 storing a system program 21, an input key 3 provided with a command input key 31 with which a command is inputted and a numerical input key 32 with which data is inputted, a keyboard part 3a on which plural input keys are arranged and a communicating part 5 which transmits and receives commands or data between itself and a connected external device 51, the keyboard part 3a is provided with a command registration key 33 on which at least aforementioned plural commands are preliminarily registered.
