<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communicating method capable of making low power consumption at a radio terminal without lowering throughput even in an asymmetrical transmission line. SOLUTION: A narrow-band base station offering a narrow-band two-way radio channel is connected to a PCS network 303, a wideband one-way radio channel base station is connected to an ATM network 306, a hybrid router 304 connecting the Internet 307 and the networks 303 and 306 is installed, when a radio terminal 301 communicates with a server 308 on the Internet, a narrow- band radio channel is used in the direction from the radio terminal to the hybrid router and a wideband radio channel is used in the direction from the hybrid router to the radio terminal router, the terminal 301 also compresses the header part of data to transfer it to the router 304, and the hybrid router expands the compressed header part of the received data and transfers it to the server 308.</p> |
