PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a flat flexible cable capable of being easily mounted with a flat flexible cable such as an FPC and capable of keeping the connected flat flexible cable from slipping off unnecessarily. SOLUTION: A slider 3 obliquely slides. With the slider 3 pulled up, a sufficient insertion space S is secured between a blade 30 moved forward Y1 and a contact part 43, thereby facilitating the insertion of an FPC 14. When the slider 3 is depressed, the blade 30 is moved backward Y2 and presses a connection end part 15 of the FPC 14 against the contact part 43, and therefore sufficient contact pressure can be secured. With the slider 3 depressed, a hook part 48 of the FPC 14 is engaged with a lock nail 49 of a housing 2, and thus reliable slip off prevention can be achieved. |
