PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system by which the battery of an accessory device can be checked by the operation of an operation member arranged at a camera body side on a condition that the accessory device obtained by loading the battery is attached to the camera body and the checked result of the battery can be confirmed at the camera body side. SOLUTION: This camera system is constituted so that not only the battery 19 loaded in the camera body 1 but also the battery 35 loaded in the accessory device can be checked by using the operation member such as the power source switch 20 arranged at the body 1 side on the condition that the accessory device such as an interchangeable lens 2 is attached to the camera body 1. Besides, the checked result can be displayed at the display part 16 of the body 1 side.
