PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a deviation between the count value (charging count number) of a mechanical counter or an electronic counter as a counter for the number of printing and the number of transfer paper on which normal images are formed. SOLUTION: When a main controller 20 detects the abnormality of a device at the inside of a machine during printing (image forming) operation, it inhibits the execution of the adding operation of the mechanical counter 64 and a memory counter (electronic counter) at the inside of the main controller 20 when the ejection of the transfer paper which exists on the upstream side of a transfer part at this point of time and is already started to be fed to the outside of the machine is completed only in the case of the abnormality by which a normal image is not guaranteed such as the abnormality of a write-in system or that of an image formation system, and also executes deducting operation to deduct the count value for the portion of the number of the transfer paper that exists on the upstream side of the transfer part and is already started to be fed from the memory counter (counter executing the adding operation at the time of the start of feeding the transfer paper) of an external charging device 63. |
