<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of radar equipment for the direction of an object by eliminating the component by means of a side lobe as an unnecessary component. SOLUTION: A processor calculates the component of a received signal detected by means of a main lobe only by subtracting the calculated component by means of a side lobe from the signals received through transmission-reception channels. After the subtraction of the component by means of the side lobe from the received signals, the received signals exceeding a thresholdαare those at the levels L3, L4, and L5 of transmission-reception channels #3, #4, and #5 and the weighted mean valueθof the received signals is calculated from a formulaθ=(L3θ3+L4θ4+L5θ5)/(L3+L4+L5). The weighted mean valueθcalculated from the formula becomes a value closer to an angleθ4 between anglesθ4 and q15 and also closer to the position of the object in Fig. 1A.</p> |
