PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect selectively and activity of a catalyst material by arranging an adsorption material having selectivity against products, based on individual catalyst materials capable of changing at least one nature, and detecting the change of the nature of the adsorption material. SOLUTION: An adsorption material is solid or liquid which is suitable for a solid carrier, and its optical nature in the infrared region, visible region or ultraviolet region in particular is preferably changed when it is brought into contact with a specific product. A color change generated when the adsorption material is brought into contact with a catalyst conversion product to be specified is particularly preferable for this change, thus the appearance or reduction of a color is detected, for example. Preferably, the nature of the adsorption material to be changed, when it is brought into contact with the product to be specified is fluorescence. More preferably the nature of the adsorption material which can be changed when it is brought into contact with the product to be specified is the weight of the adsorption material. The temperature of the adsorption material can be used for specifying the product of a catalytic reaction. |
