PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a different phase film of high quality with excellent productivity without degrading the appearance by a control system of the molten extrusion capable of substantially eliminating decomposition of the plasticizer during molten extrusion, or degrading the phase difference characteristic itself. SOLUTION: After a resin component containing 100 pts.wt. of thermoplastic resin and 0.2-10 pts.wt. of plasticizer is formed into a film by a molten extrusion method, and the film is stretched. The inequality is satisfied, where Tn ( deg.C) is the temperature of the resin component passing each of a plurality of divided heating parts of a molten extrusion machine barrel and its accessory from the supply of the plasticizer and an outlet of a die 2, Sn (min) is the time required for passing each divided heating part of the barrel, and W is the plasticizer in the resin component in terms of the pts.wt. The temperature of the resin component at the outlet of the die is set to (boiling point +20 deg.C) of the plasticizer.
