PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a device using a small number of members to accurately measure the distance to an object. SOLUTION: A device for processing image is provided with one data storing section 104, one secondary approximation processing section 105, a minimum value selecting section 110 between four SSAD sections 110-1 to 110-4 and the data storing section 104. The processing section 105 is provided between the data storing section 104 and a distance calculating section 106.
